Lokayah is a Belgian restaurant founded by Alex, who is passionate about taste, travel, and human connection. Before creating Lokayah, Alex ran his own restaurant for seven years, developing an art of culinary discovery, storytelling, and communication through the plate.

It was upon leaving the restaurant world that the desire to go back to the source was born. To meet those around the world who cultivate exceptional spices and teas with patience and expertise. To understand the lands, the techniques, the seasons. To create a direct and sincere connection between the producer and the plate.

Lokayah, inspired by the Sri Lankan word lekoya ("earth"), celebrates the richness of life, respect for origins, and artisanal quality. Each product is selected for its purity, history, and sensory power. Behind each spice, there's a farm, a face, a method, and always a passion.
